- Manchester United boss Sir Alex  Ferguson will offer midfielder Frank Lampard, 34, and left-back Ashley  Cole, 32, the chance to move to Old Trafford when their contracts are  not renewed by Chelsea at the end of the season. 
- Tottenham are ready to offer £10m for 20-year-old Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha, but the Eagles value him at nearer £20m. 
- Paris Saint-Germain have joined the race to sign Arsenal and England frontman Theo Walcott who is out of contract in the summer. 
- Reading are hoping to beat QPR to the signing of 31-year-old Liverpool midfielder Joe Cole. 

- Mario Balotelli is staying at Manchester City - because club owner Sheikh Mansour is his No 1 fan. 
- Theo Walcott has dropped his biggest hint yet that he is ready  to sign a new Arsenal contract, while out-of-favour defender Johan  Djourou is a target for German side Hannover. 
- Chelsea are homing in on Sevilla striker Alvaro Negredo with the Spanish club desperate for money. 
- Southampton are set to pip Liverpool and Everton to the signing of Birmingham City's England goalkeeper Jack Butland.

- Liverpool  have had a loan bid for Barcelona striker David Villa rejected. The  Spanish club want a £16m permanent deal for the 31-year-old. 
- Tottenham,  Fulham, Stoke, West Brom, West Ham and Aston Villa all turned down the  chance to sign Michu. The Spanish striker, 26, instead moved to Swansea  for £2.2m and is the joint-second top scorer in the Premier League, with  13. 
- Meanwhile, the Swans are keen on Bolton's 22-year-old left-back Marcos Alonso. 
- Newcastle are still keen on West Ham defender James Tomkins,  with the Hammers weighing up a bid for Southampton striker Rickie  Lambert. 
- German side Eintracht Frankfurt want to sign midfielder Thomas  Hitzlsperger from Everton when his contract ends later this month. 
- Alan Pardew has torn into the agents chasing a staggering  £5million in commission for the sale of Demba Ba, branding them  "sharks". 

- Liverpool are set to push ahead with a move for Paris Saint-Germain striker Kevin Gameiro. 
- Billionaire owner Sheikh Mansour will not sanction the sale of  Mario Balotelli because he is a great "worldwide advert" for Manchester  City.
